MARAD issues notice for start of E-Networks cable project

More than a year after local cable TV company E-Networks was told by the Ministry of Public Telecommunications that it had not been licensed to lay and land a subsea cable, the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) has once again placed a notice for mariners about the company’s cable laying project, which was due to start yesterday.

The Hercules Basketball Academy [HBA] successfully staged the second Bartica Basketball Camp which was held at the community center ground during the previous weekend and targeted the under-11 to under-18 age groups.

In memory of `Sister Clemmy’

Dear Editor, “Sister Clemmy”, as I and many others called her, was a very personable individual whose presence was always felt in a room; if it wasn’t her claps and exclamations of approval during sermons at church, it was her giving of tips on how a good meal should be prepared.
