Charged earlier this year with fraudulent conversion, a man was yesterday freed of the crime after the complainant chose not to offer any evidence against him.

Akeem Bacon was arraigned on May 16th before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus on the charge that between February 15th and February 17th, at Mandela Avenue, being solely entrusted with $120,000 by Oscar Stoll, he fraudulently converted same to his own use and benefit.

When the case was called yesterday before Magistrate Rondell Weaver, Stoll opted not to offer evidence. Subsequently, the charge against Bacon was dismissed.
