(Trinidad Guardian) Two and a half weeks after 15-year-old Andron Jaggan went missing while on an errand to purchase bread and sausages, he was found in an abandoned house in Penal.
Barrackpore police were at the Siparia District Health Facility last evening, awaiting an interview with the teenager.
Police could only reveal that around 3 pm, he emerged from an abandoned house and found a stranger whom he asked for a phone call to contact his mother, Vicki Bhagwandass-Jaggan.
Officers said Bhagwandass-Jaggan picked him up and took him to the health facility, without informing the police.
He appeared to be malnourished.
When investigators learnt that he was found, they visited the family’s home in Debe which was shut tight.
They eventually got Bhagwandass-Jaggan on the phone and was on their way to meet her up to press time. It was not yet known the circumstances of Jaggan’s disappearance.
According to a report, Jaggan, a form three student of the Penal Secondary School left home on the morning of October 26 to go to a nearby supermarket. When hours had passed and he did return home, his mother reported him missing to the police.
His disappearance was the second in his family.
In 2014, his 18-year-old sister Nicole disappeared after leaving their Suchit Trace, Penal home. She has never been found.
