Missing Trinidad teen found

(Trinidad Guardian) Two and a half weeks af­ter 15-year-old An­dron Jag­gan went miss­ing while on an er­rand to pur­chase bread and sausages, he was found in an aban­doned house in Pe­nal. 

Bar­rack­pore po­lice were at the Siparia Dis­trict Health Fa­cil­i­ty last evening, await­ing an in­ter­view with the teenag­er.

Po­lice could on­ly re­veal that around 3 pm, he emerged from an aban­doned house and found a stranger whom he asked for a phone call to con­tact his moth­er, Vic­ki Bhag­wan­dass-Jag­gan. 

Of­fi­cers said Bhag­wan­dass-Jag­gan picked him up and took him to the health fa­cil­i­ty, with­out in­form­ing the po­lice.

He ap­peared to be mal­nour­ished.

When in­ves­ti­ga­tors learnt that he was found, they vis­it­ed the fam­i­ly’s home in Debe which was shut tight.

They even­tu­al­ly got Bhag­wan­dass-Jag­gan on the phone and was on their way to meet her up to press time. It was not yet known the cir­cum­stances of Jag­gan’s dis­ap­pear­ance.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­port,  Jag­gan, a form three stu­dent of the Pe­nal Sec­ondary School left home on the morn­ing of Oc­to­ber 26 to go to a near­by su­per­mar­ket. When hours had passed and he did re­turn home, his moth­er re­port­ed him miss­ing to the po­lice.

His dis­ap­pear­ance was the sec­ond in his fam­i­ly.

In 2014, his 18-year-old sis­ter Nicole dis­ap­peared af­ter leav­ing their Su­chit Trace, Pe­nal home. She has nev­er been found.
