Dividends available from Police Cooperative Credit Union

Dear Editor,

The Guyana Police Force is responding to a letter published on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in Stabroek News under the caption – `No dividend from Police Force Credit Union since 2011’.

The Guyana Police Cooperative Credit Union Ltd held its last Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 26, 2018 for financial years 2012, 2013 and 2014 and immediately thereafter the surplus was divided amongst its members who number over 3500.

The dividends are posted to serving members’ accounts and ex members will receive cheques; the entire process is done manually.

The management of the Credit Union never received any complaints as to unprofessionalism or poor response by staff when members make enquiry for dividends.

Management regrets such an encounter if indeed it happened; however, dividends are available and all members can check with the office personally.

Yours faithfully,

Jairam Ramlakhan

Superintendent of Police

Public Relations and Press

Officer
