The annual Youth Basketball Guyana [YBG] Titan Bowl Championship will commence today at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue with four boys U18 matches, a release from the organisers stated.
At 16:00hrs, President’s College will oppose Christ Church while Marian Academy battles St. Stanislaus College from 17:00hrs. In the final two fixtures, Kwakwani tackles New Amsterdam Technical Institute [NATI] from 18:00hrs and Government Technical Institute [GTI] engages the Bishops’ High from 19:00hrs.
The event, which runs until Sunday, features three divisions. In the boys U18 section, the competing teams are President’s College, Kwakwani, NATI, Marian Academy, St. Stanislaus College, the Bishops High, GTI and Christ Church.
On the other hand, the Boys U16 zone features President’s College, Kwakwani, St. Roses High, Marian Academy, the Bishops High, St. Stanislaus College, Plaisance Secondary and Arima Secondary. In the girls U18 section, the teams will be Marian Academy, Kwakwani, Queen’s College and St. Stanislaus College.
