A Crabwood Creek, Upper Corentyne driver succumbed to his  injuries at the Skeldon Public Hospital yesterday, after he slammed into a parked tractor along the Number 67 Village, Corentyne Public Road.

Dead is Jaggernauth Ramcharran, 49, of Grant 1802 Crabwood Creek, Corentyne.

Stabroek News was told that Ramcharran was driving HB 1876, reportedly at a fast rate of speed when he suddenly served from some stray animals on the public road and slammed into a parked tractor around 3 am yesterday.

Ramcharran and the occupant of the car, Akesh Koochamala, 22, of Number 65 Village, Corentyne, were both rushed to the Skeldon Public Hospital.

Ramcharran succumbed shortly after arriving, while Koochamala has since been transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.

Investigations ongoing.
