Vendor accused of stealing cellphone granted bail

A vendor accused of robbing a woman of her cellphone, was granted bail after the charge was read to him by Magistrate Faith McGusty, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Donald Evans, 21, was accused of robbing Sheniza Knight of a cellphone valued $30,000, on December 30, 2018, at Lombard Street, Georgetown.

Evans pleaded not guilty to the charge and bail was granted in the sum of $20,000.

The accused was also ordered to report to the Brickdam Police Station every Monday.
