A city court yesterday dismissed the charge against driver Ryan Seecharran, who was accused of causing the death of a pedestrian at a Herstelling, East Bank Demerara in 2017, after finding that the police failed to prove its case against him.
Seecharran was on trial before Magistrate Fabayo Azore on the charge that on June 24th, at Third Street, Herstelling, he drove motor car PVV 4911 in a manner dangerous to the public and caused the death of Kalicharran Goordial.
The court heard that the prosecution suffered a few hurdles in making its case given the fact that both the caution and oral statements that were allegedly taken from Seecharran were not entered into evidence.
