`Bookmobile’ to target East Coast schools, communities

The `Bookmobile’

Eleven schools, along with surrounding communities on the East Coast of Demerara, will soon be benefitting from the services of a bookmobile that was commissioned yesterday by the National Library, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Georgetown.

Graham’s Hall Primary, Better Hope Primary, Enmore Primary, Mon Repos Primary, Chateau Margot Primary, Cummings Lodge Primary, La Bonne Intention Primary and St Paul’s Primary, along with Lusignan Nursery, Better Hope Nursery and West Road Nursery, as well as the communities in which the schools are located, are the areas which will be benefitting from the services of the bookmobile.

In addition to that, neighbourhoods not located near a branch library or library centre will also be visited. The plan is to visit these locations each month with allowances for additional visits based upon requests.
