A 52-year-old man was yesterday midday discovered dead in an abandoned house in Stanleytown, New Amsterdam.
The man has since been identified as Sydney Porter, 52. His body is presently being stored at the Arokium Funeral Parlour.
According to information gathered, the man was a patient at the National Psychiatric Hospital.
It was reported to investigators yesterday that the man apparently escaped from the hospital some time ago.
The police have launched an investigation.
