Security ministry office assistant remanded on armed robbery charge

An office assistant at the Ministry of Public Security is now a remanded prisoner after he was charged with an armed robbery in which he was purportedly shot by his accomplice, resulting in his capture.

Shaquille Duncan, 25, pleaded not guilty to the charge, which Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus read to him in Georgetown.

It is alleged that on February 5th, at Mandela Avenue, Duncan, in the company of another, while being armed with a gun, robbed Steve Munroe of a $360,000 gold chain.
