A date was on Tuesday set for the commencement of the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the murder charge against two men arraigned for the fatal shooting of taxi driver Kelvin Walters.
Rodrick Thomas and Devon Alleyne were both read a charge which alleged that they murdered Walters on January 22, 2019, at Eccles Public Road, East Bank Demerara.
During Tuesday’s court hearing before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus, May 8 was set as the date when the PI is expected to commence.
