Timehri teen fatally stabbed, parents wounded after row with labourer over payment

An 18-year-old was stabbed to death while his parents were injured after they were attacked on Friday morning at Timehri, on the East Bank of Demerara.

David Toney, of Alliance Road, Timehri, sustained a single stab wound to his abdomen during the fatal row at the Timehri Docks, which surrounded payment for the loading of cabbage onto a truck.

His parents, Mark Toney, 48 and Judith Hosea, 39, both of Timehri Hill Top, are currently patients at the Diamond Hospital. Mark, who is said to be in critical condition, was stabbed to the back, chest and arm, while Hosea, who is listed as stable, was stabbed once to one of her arms.
