Welder charged with robbing woman says was helping her

After telling a Georgetown court that he was helping a woman he was charged with robbing, a welder was yesterday remanded to prison.

It is alleged that Kess Brown, on April 19 at Camp Street, robbed Sabrina Doodnauth of a purse containing a driver’s licence, property of Courtney Forde, and $8,000, and at the time of, immediately before or immediately after, made use of personal violence.

Brown pleaded not guilty to the charge which was read to him by Magistrate Faith McGusty.
