Three injured in Brickdam accident

Three persons were injured last night after being involved in an accident on Brickdam.

The injured were rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital and were admitted for medical attention.

Stabroek News gathered that the accident occurred sometime after 10 pm.

The motorcar PRR 1509 that was involved in the accident with the mini bus BSS9411 at the intersection of Camp Street and Brickdam.

Eyewitnesses told Stabroek News that motor car PRR 1509 was proceeding south on Camp Street, while the minibus BSS 9411 was travelling east on Brickdam. Eyewitnesses alleged that the bus was speeding and failed to stop at the intersection of Camp Street and Brickdam.

As a result it clipped the car and turned over several times before coming to a halt some distance away from the point of impact.

Camp Street and Brickdam is a junction that has seen numerous accidents.
