Seon Burch has been remanded to prison after being charged with stealing over one million dollars’ worth of articles.

Burch appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Monday, when he was remanded to prison on a break and enter and larceny charge.

The charge, which was read to him by Senior Magistrate Leron Daly, states that on June 7th, in the vicinity of Campbellville, Georgetown, he broke into the dwelling house of Norris Gulliver and stole $1,305,000 in valuables. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Police prosecutor Adunni Inniss told the court that Burch had been charged two weeks ago for similar offences. Due to this information, bail was refused and the matter was adjourned until September 23rd.
