(Trinidad Express) Police say they have discovered a crack cocaine making laboratory in Carapichaima.

The find was made by officers of the Chaguanas CID and Central Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise on Sunday.

Officers, led by ASP Richard Smith, proceeded to the Primrose Avenue, Roopsingh Road home, of a 42-year-old man, around 8:30am where they executed a search warrant for dangerous drugs.

The search allegedly resulted in the discovery of 924 grammes of crack cocaine along with several items, inclusive of a stove, pots, cups and baking soda, which were suspected to be used in the manufacturing of crack cocaine.

Earlier on, around 2:45am, on the same date, officers had gone to Mc Leod Street, Carapichaima, where they executed a search warrant for firearms and ammunition at the home of a 38-year-old man. There, they found and seized one homemade double barrel 12 gauge shotgun.
