Trinidad: Missing New Yorker sparks police appeal

(Trinidad Express) A New Yorker who went missing during Carnival celebrations in Port of Spain on Monday, sparked panic and a police search.

However, it ended well, with police reporting that the woman had been found.

Police issued a statement at 5.44p.m. seeking the public’s help in finding 38-year-old Dionne Watson.

Dionne of E97 Street, New York, had been last seen around Port of Spain, in the vicinity of the Queen’s Park Savannah at around 10:20 am. She was reported missing to the St. Clair Police Station, at around 11:20 am on the same day.

By 6.28p.m, the police reporting that she was found.

No information was given as to the circumstances surrounding her discovery.
