“We expect to get the results today. But LA is four hours behind T&T and as we speak (around 12.50 pm) it’s not even 9 am there, so I don’t have an update yet on the results of the tests which were done. But we expect to get that from him at some point in time,” Imbert said.

Imbert said Rowley is going to another part of California on Saturday for a second set of tests. Rowley will also have a third set of tests next Monday. “He’s advised me that after the results of the three sets of tests are in, he’ll have a good idea of his situation.”

“He’s in good spirits and I think the country is hoping and praying for a clean bill of health for the Prime Minister…(so) we hope and pray and wait for more information,” Imbert added.

On other issues, Imbert said Culture Minister Nyan Gadsby-Dolly wasn’t present at the briefing to comment on the Carnival 2019 since she had the flu. Apart from positive Carnival feedback he acknowledged some issues, adding Government will try to promote Carnival all over T&T following calls from various people.

Communication Minister Stuart Young also said land at Henderson Street, Chaguanas was approved for the Montrose Vedic School which had sought this since 2011. Young said two sites had been available for the school since 2013 and the Education Ministry was told of it, but nothing was done.
