(Trinidad Express) A man with previous convictions for robbery and narcotics was gunned down near his home in Rio Claro on Sunday.

Robert “Bumpy” Donald was shot multiple times and died at hospital.

Around 7.45 p.m. Donald, of Pascal Trace, was liming at the side of Wilson Road, Brothers’ Road, sitting near a drain with his two cousins when a white Nissan Tiida pulled up alongside them.

The killer alighted from the car and opened fire on Donald. Donald’s relatives took him to the Rio Claro District Health Centre where he died.

Responding to the scene were ASP Doodhai, Insp Garcia, Sgt Maharaj and others of Rio Claro CID and Homicide Region II.

Police retrieved three spent shells and two live rounds from the scene. Donald was served time in prison for robbery with aggravation and narcotics offences, police said.
