(Trinidad Express) On Independence Day, Harricharan Ramsundar and his wife Neisha Cyleane Sankar spent time together and celebrated the holiday.

The couple went to Eddie’s Bar in Siparia and were having fun with each other.

But then the good time turned sour when Ramsundar publicly accused his wife of being unfaithful to him.

Harricharan Ramsundar who police say chopped to death his wife Neisha Cyleane Sankar.

The accusations turned into a physical fight, which continued when they returned to the home at Poulo Drive, La Brea Trace Siparia.

That night, Sankar left the marital home.

She did not tell Ramsundar where she was headed.

These were events as revealed to police by relatives and friends of the couple.

On Monday – two days later when she returned – Ramsundar unleashed his fury and attacked her with a cutlass.

She was in the kitchen preparing a meal for their son’s first day of school when he ambushed her.

He killed her in the house they shared for more than a decade, and where their eight year old son slept.

He then walked into the forested terrain at the back of the house and hanged himself.
