Seasonal vending ends on January 6th

Dear Editor,

The Mayor and Councillors of the City of Georgetown expresses grave dissatisfaction at how vendors and patrons of social activities would have left the state of several streets in the city. The Georgetown city council would have opened the streets of Georgetown for the festive season.

Both vendors and promoters of public activities must ensure that after business, the area they use is left in a state of good environmental order. The employees of the council were saddled with additional work to ensure that the areas were cleaned.

The City wishes to inform all vendors that the time for seasonal vending will expire on Sunday, January 6, 2019, and as such all structures that were erected during the festive season should be demolished.

The Council will employ a special crew that will remove all unauthorized structures and encumbrances remaining on the parapets along Regent, Main, Water and Robb streets.

Yours faithfully,

Debra Lewis
