On the raucous behavior in parliament

Dear Editor,

The letter from an opposition MP in which he berated the MPs of the ruling side for their sometimes raucous behaviour and conduct in the hallowed Chamber has me thinking that this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black or people living in glass houses should not throw stones.

Of particular interest and noteworthy, is that this opposing MP referred to the drowning out of the speech by the Leader of the Opposition  in the recent no-confidence motion, due to the clamour and noise which emanated  from across the aisle.

Has the MP forgot the behaviour and conduct of his side of the House when the President made a speech in that august Chamber not so long ago?

Yours faithfully,

Shamshun Mohamed
