Permit my response to a letter appearing in your newspaper on Tuesday April 2 from Baldeo Mathura.
Mr. Mathura asks `Is Minister Hughes still awaiting legal advice?’
Mr. Mathura seems to have missed my pronouncement reported in most newspapers months ago that I have received legal advice and I wish to state that my actions have been consistent with the advice I have received.

Editor’s note: Up to December 30th, 2018, Stabroek News reported that Minister Hughes was still awaiting advice from one of the two attorneys she consulted about any potential conflict of interest. Perhaps the Minister would like to further clarify whether the advice from the second attorney was received.
