Thank you for publishing my letter, which you chose to title “The oil and gas loans will help in Guyana’s development.” (SN: 21/04/19)
I am not sure if you edited the letter as I haven’t read the published version carefully. Either way, the title you chose completely destroyed the sarcasm I intended and the deep worry I have, as I consider how our “development partners” seem unable to outdo and out-lend each other since the oil discovery. I was also fairly clear about what I thought of the coordination that is being done by of all agencies, the US Embassy!
Grateful if you’d publish this clarification, as I’m rather embarrassed about appearing to be saying that “the oil and gas loans will help in Guyana’s development.”
