Wiltshire’s birthday dominoes competition set for Sunday at Turning Point

Next Sunday, at the Turning Point Sports Bar, Mark `Jumbie’ Wiltshire, Chief Organising Secretary of the Georgetown Dominoes Association (GDA), will stage a dominoes competition in honour of his birth anniversary.

Commencing at 2pm,  the tournament has attracted some of the country’s top dominoes teams such as C7,  Strikers, Rage, Spartans, Mix-Up and others who will battle for the lucrative prizes at stake,

The winning team will receive $175,000 a trophy and nine medals while the runners up will receive $75,000 and a trophy.

The third and fourth placed finishers are set to receive $35,000 and a trophy and $20,000 and a trophy respectively.

The player of the

final will receive $10,000 while the best female player in the competition is set to receive a similar amount.

Entrance fee per team is $15,000.

According to Wiltshire, all prizes are guaranteed and teams must pay before playing.

He added that all GNDA rules will be in effect and there will be zero tolerance, adding that armless attire and indecent language will not be tolerated.

Teams are also required to walk with a good pack of dominoes.

The sponsors are Stag Beer, Big Boss Trucking Service, All Seasons Racing Service, Trophy Stall, Spartans, the USA/Dynasty Sports Bar, and Tony’s Jewellery.
