The 2019 cricket season is set to bowl off tomorrow in Georgetown with several headline fixtures set to ignite cricket once again following a break due to the holiday season.

The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) announced that tomorrow’s fixtures will include a battle between the Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC), who is set to face archrivals and defending champions, the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) at the DCC ground in the New Building Society (NBS) 40-over tournament.

Other matches will see Sophia coming up against the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) at the Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) ground while the University of Guyana is set to clash against Diplomats at Everest.

On Sunday, GNIC and Everest will come up against each other at the Everest ground while Ace Warriors and Third Class will clash at the MYO ground in a battle of the minnows. All matches are slated to start from 10:30hrs.

Meanwhile, the GCA under-17 Friends of Cricket tournament will see DCC facing Everest at the DCC ground while ECO will come up against the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) tomorrow from 9:30hrs.

Sunday’s encounters will include a clash between MSC and GCC at the GCC ground while ECO will face DCC at home.
