Phagwah horse race meet to kick off activities at KMTC

As customary, the Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) will kick off its calendar of activities with the traditional Post Phagwah Horse race meet.

The six-race card is scheduled to run off on March 24 at the Kennard Memorial Turf Club.

In excess of $3M in cash and trophies will be on offer.

The feature event is for horses classified G1 and lower galloping for six furlongs for a grand prize of $300,000.

Other races on the card will cater for three years old Guyana bred steeds, J class, L class Open, L class non winners and L class non earners.

The champion jockey, trainer and stables will all receive trophies compliments of Ramesh Sunich of the Trophy Stall.
