Eighteen team dominoes competition set for tomorrow

An 18-team dominoes tournament will take place tomorrow from 2pm at Sharmalee Sports Bar, East Coast Demerara. The competition has been organized by the senior Organizing Secretary of the Georgetown Dominoes Association (Mark ` Jumbie’ Wiltshire and a number of lucrative prizes are at stake.

The winning team will receive $150,000 and a trophy with $75,000 and a trophy going to the runners up.

The third placed team will receive $45,000. However, according to Wiltshire, the prizes are subject to changes.

Vinod and Sons Jewellery and Pawn Shop and Rayon Tent Rentals are the sponsors. Teams are required to walk with a good pack of dominoes and the rules of the GNDA will be in effect including no indecent language and no armless attire.
