Vanguard, Strikers to square off in Lenny Shuffler Volleyball final

Archrivals Vanguard Volleyball Club and Castrol Strikers will square off in the female final of the annual Lenny Shuffler volleyball tournament today at the National Gymnasium. 

Both teams registered their places in the final by defeating Port Mourant Training Centre (PMTC) Volleyball Club in the round-robin, three-team competition. 

Castrol was the first to go past their Berbician counterparts 25-12, 20-25, 26-24, 25-19 before Vanguard disposed of them 25-14, 25-21, 25-22. 

However, Vanguard will be heading into today’s final with a bit of an edge after they defeated Castrol Strikers 3-2 in their group stage encounter. 

Meanwhile, the male division also got underway with the final also set to serve off today after the completion of the final two rounds. Only one game in that division has been completed thus far which saw Eagles defeating Rollers 22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-9.
