Hikers, Bounty GCC win in Farfan and Mendes hockey

Pepsi Hikers and Bounty GCC secured wins in the Farfan & Mendes Men’s first division, while GBTI GCC secured a victory in the Woodpecker Women’s 1stDivision Leagues on Saturday and Sunday at the St. Stanislaus ground.

Pepsi Hikers dismantled Supernova 8-1. Aroydy Branford bagged six goals, while Andrew Stewart and Jamarj Assanah scored one goal each. For the loser, Samuel Woodroffe netted the consolation goal.

In their second match, Hikers mauled GCC Vintage 9-1. Devin Munroe tallied five goals, while Branford recorded a hat-trick alongside a Brian Asregado conversion.

For the loser, Philip Fernandes recorded the lone goal. On the other hand, Bounty GCC crushed GCC Vintage 14-2.

Meshach Sargeant amassed five goals alongside respective hat-tricks from sibling Mark Sargeant and Kareem McKenzie.

Adding one goal each were Shaquille Leung, Kevin Spencer and Peter DeGroot. For Vintage, Eric Hing and Andrew Xavier scored once. Similarly, Bounty GCC brushed aside Saints 9-1.

Kareem McKenzie alongside Meshach and Mark Sargeant secured doubles respectively, while Steven Xavier, Spencer and Leung scored one goal apiece. For the loser, Edmund Chinian registered a consolation goal.

In the Woodpecker Women’s 1st Division League, GBTI GCC crushed Bingo Spartans by a 5–1 scoreline. Shebiki Baptiste and Carina Muller tallied doubles, while Marzana Fiedtkou scored once.

On the other side, Madison Fernandes amassed a consolation goal. In other Men’s 1st Division results, Saints defeated Old Fort 2-0 compliments of goals from Shakeem Fausette and Hilton Chester.

Also, Supernova and Old Fort battled to a 1-1 draw. Meshach Sargeant scored for Supernova, while John Abrahams netted for Old Fort. The tournament continues on Saturday and Sunday at the same venue.
