Top female seed, Priyanna Ramdhani, registered wins in both the male and female divisions, partnering with Avinash Odit and Priscilla Moore respectively in the seventh annual Guyana Badminton Association GUMDAC Doubles Open tournament earlier this week at the National Gymnasium.
Ramdhani and Odit defeated last year’s champions, Jonathan Mangra and Ronald Chang Yuen in a three setter, 21-19, 13-22, 22-20 in the finals of the male division.
Ramdhani and Odit eased past Vikash Mootoo and Matthew Beharry 21-8, 21-7 in the quarter finals before beating Darrell Carpenay and Avian Rodrigues 21-15, 21-13 in the semis.
