Ramdhani wins men’s singles at ACAC c/ships

Guyana’s top male  badminton player Narayan  Ramdhani  made history for the Kings Eagles University Badminton Team when he won the gold  medal in the men’s singles  at the 2018-2019 ACAC Provincial championship which was played off at the Concordia University in Edmonton Alberta.

Being now the champion and Number one ranked singles player, he will now represent the Province of Alberta at the National Championship in Nova Scotia next month.

Seeded number two, Ramdhani  won in a tense three-setter against Nicolas Pittman of Concordia.

He dropped the first set 16-21 but won the next two  games 21-17, 21-17 to win the gold.

Two weeks ago he  lost to Nicolas Pitman in the final of the 2018-2019 ACAC tournament number three played at Olds College.

Ramdhani also won the other two tournaments  the first and second played at Kings University & Nait College for a record of three tournament wins from four outings on the circuit.
