Barbados Pride closed day two of their Cricket West Indies Regional Four-Day Championships ninth round clash against Guyana Jaguars on 228-6 in their second innings, establishing a lead of 103 runs yesterday at the National Stadium, Providence.
In front of a decent crowd, the defending champions, Jaguars established a first innings lead of 125 runs after posting 201 in 77 overs while Barbados ensured the hosts will bat again after toiling for 71 overs in overcast conditions. Jaguars, resuming on 162-7, were once again indebted to Barbados-born, Raymon Reifer who built on his overnight score of 33 to finish unbeaten on 52. The 27-year-old brought up his 14th first class half century by smashing a Jomel Warrican delivery through mid-wicket for his seventh and final boundary of the innings.
When Barbados began their second innings 49 minutes to lunch, Shayne Moseley was unable to open after being off the field for some time. Nevertheless, Rashidi Boucher and Shamarh Brooks saw them to lunch at 19-0.
