Crawford wins Jagan Memorial road race

Romello Crawford continues to make hay in the brilliant sunshine.

One week after claiming the Burnham Memorial Three-Stage road race, the Berbice native took his talents to West Demerara yesterday and sprinted off with the spoils of the Cheddi Jagan Memorial road race.

Crawford, who is enjoying sublime early season form, won the 40-mile fixture from Schoonord to Bushy Park and back after stopping the clock in a brisk 1hr:39m.17s.

In perfect conditions for racing, yesterday marked the third occasion that the Trojan PSL standout was victorious since the calendar flipped to 2019. ….
