Skyy Vodka became the latest sponsor to throw its support behind the Richard Mittleholzer birth anniversary domino championship, donating an undisclosed sum during a simple presentation ceremony yesterday at the Ansa McAl headquarters at Beterverwagting.

The two-day tournament, which commences tomorrow at the Sparta Boss Square in East La Penitence, will feature teams battling for over $300,000 in prizes.    The winner of the event will pocket $150,000 and a trophy, with the second and third place finishers copping $75,000 and $40,000 apiece and the corresponding trophies. The entrance fee per team is $15,000.

On the individual side, two Citizen watches will be awarded to the Male and Female Most Valuable Players [MVP] of the preliminary round respectively. The MVP of the final will pocket $8,000.

Brand Manager Edison Jefford, in brief remarks, said that the company is pleased to be onboard, as they have a long history with the game. Upon the conclusion of the registration process, each team will be presented with a bottle of Skyy Vodka.   Among the other sponsors are Grill Kings, YK Pawn Shop, Montcherri Beauty Salon, John Lewis Fashion and Magnum and Campari.
