Queen’s College beaten in YBG league

Plaisance Secondary, Chase Academy, St. Stanislaus and Annandale Secondary secured victories in the Youth Basketball Guyana [YBG] U18 Developmental League Friday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

Plaisance Secondary downed Queen’s College 42-37. Ishmael Chapman led the East Coast Demerara outfit with 17 points while Shamae Hercules added 13 points. 

For Queen’s College, Lugard Mohan Jr., recorded a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. He was supported by Damian Eversley with eight points and six rebounds.

Similarly, Chase Academy dismissed Christ Church 29-18. Stephon DeLeon led the way with 21 points and four rebounds while Jamal Nicholas added six points. 

For Christ Church, Tyrese James and Raheim Neils scored four points each. Also, St. Stanislaus College downed Central High 25-11.

Omario Ganesdin scored nine points while Mustapha Kadir added six points and four rebounds for St Stanislaus.

For Central High, Anton Smith and Yohance Rose each scored four points. In other results, Annandale Secondary defeated Charlestown 17-3. 

Kempton France and Jerom Harigen tallied 10 and four points each in the rout. Tutorial High edged Brickdam Secondary 18-17. Jaden Moses top scored for the winners with 10 points while Kareem Whitney tallied 10 points and six rebounds for Brickdam Secondary. Hope Secondary downed North Georgetown 19-15. The event continues at the same venue on Friday.
