Following the completion of the launch pad last year at the South Dakota Circuit to the tune of $12.5M, the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) has now embarked on the construction of the connecting road to the pad.
This is according to President of the GMR&SC, Rameez Mohamed who made the disclosure on Friday during the Race of Champions award ceremony at GT Sports.
Rameez noted that with the increase of high powered machines on the local drag strip, a launch pad was needed to help these vehicles with more horsepower to be more controlled.
