President of the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG), Aubrey Hutson is optimistic that the athletes selected to represent Guyana at the CARIFTA Games will return with a treasure chest of precious metal.
“The team is a true reflection of the hard work that the coaches and the athletes have been putting in and I am confident that they can go out there and do us and themselves proud. I am confident in a large medal haul,” Hutson told Stabroek Sport yesterday.
Some 20 athletes, (three USA based) have been named to represent the Golden Arrowhead at the 48th staging of the CARIFTA Games in Grand Cayman scheduled for April 20-22 April.
