Guyana’s Trenace Lowe and Jody Ann-Blake were on Thursday evening defeated in the final of the women’s doubles category at the 2019 Caribbean Regional Table Tennis Federation (CRTTF) senior championship by their counterparts from the Dominican Republic at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH).
The duo, who had to settle for silver, were outdone by Esmerlyn Castro and Eva Brito 3-0 in a truncated finale.
Brito and Castro in the first set took an early 5-2 advantage but the Guyanese pair fought their way back to tie the set 6-6 before Castro and Brito pulled away to take the first set 11-6.
