Helmet trick, hat-tricks highlight Stag Beer Futsal c/ships

Sparta Boss, Gold is Money, Tiger Bay and North East La Penitence all won their matches when the Stag Beer Futsal Championship resumed Tuesday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Sparta Boss downed Norton Street 4-2 with Kelsey Benjamin, Ryan Hackett, Courtney Britton and Gregory Richardson scoring in the sixth, seventh, 10th and 16th minute respectively.

For Norton Street, Lionel Holder and Alex King scored in the fourth and 17th minute respectively.

In another fixture, Gold is Money crushed Ansa McAl 4-0 as Randolph Wagner fashioned a helmet-trick in the 11th, 19th, 20th and 24th minute.

Similarly, Tiger Bay mauled Albouystown 4-1. Deon Alfred recorded a hat-trick in the 12th, 15th and 16th minute, with Keoma Gravesande scoring in the seventh minute.

For Albouystown, Andrew Murray Jr., netted in the eighth minute. Meanwhile, North East La Penitence dismantled Fearless 7-1. Calvin Moore registered a hat-trick in the fifth, sixth and 14th minute.

He was assisted by siblings Alwin Moore and Alvin Moore, Joel Yhap and Keifer Brandt who scored in the 15th, 20th, 21st and 24th minute respectively. For Fearless, Marcus Wilson scored in the 10th minute.

In other results, Kingston upset Broad Street 2-0. Stephon Reynolds and Nigel Denny found the back of the net in the 15th and 19th minute respectively.

Likewise, California Square crushed Sophia 6-1. David George blasted a hat-trick in the 12th, 17th and 21st minute while Levi Canterbury, Meshach Sergeant and Travis Hercules scored in the seventh, ninth and 22nd minute each.

Silver Bullets then riddled Spot-7 by a 5-0 score.

Omar Williams recorded a double in the seventh and 12th minute while Jermaine Samuels also bagged a double in the 16th and 24th minute.

 Adding a goal in the 15th minute was Damion Williams.

In the final fixture Germans gained a walkover from Ol-Skool Ballers.

 The 11-day event, which continues today, features 32 teams battling in an initial group stage format featuring eight groups of four teams.

Upon the completion of the group stage, the top two teams in each round will advance to the final. The other playing dates are April 6th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 16th, 18th, 20th, with the final pegged for the 27th.
