Gold is Money blasts eight past Spot 7

Gold is Money, Tiger Bay, North East La Penitence and Ansa McAl recorded contrasting wins when the when the Stag Beer Futsal Championship resumed on Saturday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Gold is Money humbled Spot-7 by an 8-0 score line. Randolph Wagner tallied a hat-trick in the ninth, 13th and 17th minute, with Michael Pedro recording a three goal haul in the sixth, 12th and 23rd minute.

Adding goals in the eighth and 16th minute respectively were Jamal Pedro and Phillip Rowley. Similarly, Tiger Bay mauled Fearless 4-0. Deon Alfred recorded a brace in the 11th and 19th minute, while Alpha Fletchman and Keoma Gravesande netted in the 12th and 22nd minute each.

On the other hand, North East La Penitence edged Albouystown 2-1. Keifer Brandt and Kelvin Moore scored in the 17th and 22nd minute apiece. For Albouystown, Lennox Cort netted in the 15th minute.

Similarly, Ansa McAl All-Stars disarmed Silver Bullets 3-1. Moses Perez recorded a double in the seventh and 24th minute, with Jimmy Vintinilla netting in the sixth minute. For the loser, Damion Williams netted in the 10th minute.

In other results, California Square edged Germans 3-2. David George recorded a hat-trick in the fourth, 15th and 22nd minute. For the loser, Tevin Crawford and Tyric McAllister netted in the 11th and 19th minute respectively. Also, Sophia and Ol Skool Ballers battled to a 2-2 draw. Ravin Naughton bagged a double in the 16th and 18th minute for Ol Skool, with Dwayne Lowe and Shem Arthur equalizing for Sophia in the 20th and 24th minute respectively.

The tournament continues tomorrow at the same venue with another round of matches. Hustlers will oppose Street-Ballers at 20:00hrs, with Young Ballers taking aim at Alexander Village from 20:30hrs.

In the third clash, Stevedore battles Stabroek Ballers from 21:00hrs, while Bent Street oppose Showstoppers at 21:30hrs and Melanie engages Future Stars from 22:00hrs.
