Ever since capturing the WBA Gold belt in February, Lennox ‘Too Sharp’ Allen (22-0-1, 14 KOs) has not been resting on his laurels.
In fact, the unbeaten super middleweight and his team have been hard at work.
Speaking to Stabroek Sport yesterday following a glove workout at the Cops and Kids Gym, the Brooklyn based southpaw revealed that he may be back in the ring on the undercard of the Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller versus Anthony Joshua world title fight.
The two heavyweights are scheduled to match gloves on June 1 at the World’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden.
“My promoter and Eddie Hearn (Joshua’s promoter) are trying to make a deal for a fight for June 1st on the undercard of the Big Baby/Joshua fight. We have until Friday to get this deal done.”
Allen however said if the deal falls through, he will be returning to Guyana “for a few days on Saturday.”
