Tapeball competition commences Saturday

The fourth annual Royal Tapeball Cricket Academy Inter-Secondary School Championships will commence on Saturday at the Durban Park Tarmac from 8:45hrs.

Among the schools that have already submitted their registration forms are Bishops’ High, Queens’ College, Brickdam, East Ruimveldt, Tucville, South Ruimveldt, New Campbellville, IEA, the Business School, Central High, Carmel, St. George’s, School of the Nations, Christ Church, St. John’s College, Covent Garden, Friendship, Dolphin and North Georgetown.

Winner of the event will pocket $70,000, medals and the P.K.F. Barcellos, Narine and Company trophy. On the other hand, the runner-up will collect $30,000 and the corresponding accolade.

On the individual side, the Most Valuable Player [MVP] will walk away with a gold band. The tournament, which is coordinated by Lorian Tracey and James Lewis, is sponsored by P.K.F. Barcellos, Narine and Company.
