LBI wins Secondary Schools tapeball tournament

La Bonne Intention [LBI] won the 4th Annual P.K.F. Barcellos, Narine & Company Secondary Schools  tapeball cricket competition Saturday at the Durban Park Tarmac, Homestretch Avenue.

The East Coast Demerara unit defeated Patentia Secondary in the final. With the win, LBI walked away with the P.K.F. Barcellos, Narine & Company trophy, medals and a cash incentive.

In the earlier semi-final round, LBI defeated the Business School while Patentia Secondary defeated Hope Secondary. On the individual side, Ryan Wong of LBI secured the Most Valuable Player [MVP] award.

Meanwhile, Hope Secondary won the James ‘Kool’ Lewis Secondary Schools Girls softball competition. They defeated Queenstown Secondary via walkover. Five schools competed in the tournament.
