Two legs down, one to go.

Today, all roads lead to the Port Mourant Turf Club where fans of the ‘Sport of Kings’ will witness the final leg of the inaugural Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee (JJTRC) Triple Crown Series.

Following the first two legs on February 24 and March 24 at the Rising Sun Turf Club, the grand finale will take centre stage at the ‘mecca’ of local thoroughbred horse racing.

Action in the packed nine-race card gets underway at 12:30hrs and in excess of $8M in cash and prizes will be up for grabs.

The C and Lower seven-furlong race will headline the card’s activities with the nation’s premier trotters making up the field in the Trophy Stall sponsored fixture.

Boss of the JJTRC, Nasrudeen Mohamed Jr. told Stabroek Sport recently that the feature should be a scorcher and he anticipates a fast seven-furlong event.

The card will also include events for horses in the F Class and lower, Three-Year old Guyana Bred, H and Lower, J/K and lower, K Class and L and lower. See you there.(Emmerson Campbell)
