The 50th edition of the CARIFTA Games will be staged in Guyana in 2021. The historic news was disclosed to Stabroek Sport yesterday by President of the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG), Aubrey Hutson.

“We would have won the confidence of the CARIFTA Committee and the 50th edition of CARIFTA will be in Guyana in 2021,” said Hutson.

He added:“I am so proud of my athletes and coaches. It’s the performance of our athletes that earned this for us. I am so filled with emotion that I was reduced to tears when I got the news from the NACAC President, Mr. Victor Lopez.”
