The Guyana Football Federation’s [GFF] Electoral Congress and Annual General Meeting [AGM] will be held in November.

Newly appointed acting General Secretary Ian Alves disclosed this information during a brief comment to Stabroek Sport.

Alves, who previously held the post of GFF Director of Competitions, said the official date for the election has not been set adding that the constitution will dictate and determine the appropriate date.

“It’s due this year to be held, not sure of the exact date yet but it should be in November. The constitution will dictate that,” said Alves.

Incumbent Wayne Forde and the Team ‘Integrity’ slate was elected to the helm of the federation, following a 12-10 victory over the Nigel Hughes led Team ‘Unity’ faction on November 14th 2015.
