Cricket action in the city expected to resume this weekend

The Roger Harper led Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) is likely to release cricket fixtures in the coming days that will see cricket clubs swinging into action at the weekend. This is according the Association’s Chairman of the Competition’s Committee Shaun Massiah.

Cricket action was stalled by the customary raining period during the last few months.

Now that the weather is more ideal for on field play, the GCA is working to complete the Toucan Distributors Under-15 competition, the GISE, Star Party Rental and Trophy Stall First Division two days tournament along with the Noble House Seafoods 2nd Division two-day match ups.

Massiah further noted that the Association is working to source sponsorship to fund first and second divisions limited overs tournaments and other junior tournaments.
