The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) declined 0.89% during the first period of trading in January 2019. The stocks of three companies were traded, with 20,245 shares changing hands. There were no Climbers and one Tumbler. The stocks of the Guyana Bank for Trade & Industry (BTI) declined 10.16 % on the sale of 500 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of Banks DIH Limited (DIH) and Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) remained unchanged on the sale of 16,160 and 3,585 shares, respectively. The LSI closed at 510.29.
